Mariela Rivero

Bilingual Hispanic Actress

Greetings!

Hello there! I’m Mariela and I’m a bilingual Hispanic actress based in NYC.

Growing up, outside of my involvement in the arts, I was the class nerd and year-round athlete... quite the combo! It all makes sense when you think about it - why I get so excited for the heavy dramaturgical research at classical productions and why I so greatly relish stage combat training. And why I was so determined to get a degree.

I hold a BFA in Acting from Pace University, where I was fortunate to study with 2X Golden Globe & 2X Tony Award winner Kathleen Turner, casting directors Wendy Kurtzman and Lisa Zambetti, SAFD Fight Master Michael Chin, and others I greatly admire from the LA and NYC industries. My favorite college memory was serving as the sole understudy in Sarah DeLappe’s β€œThe Wolves”. I learned the lines, blocking, and soccer choreography tracks for all 13 characters in just 3 weeks while taking over-the-max number of class credits. I truly relish a busy schedule! And yes, sports. And, also yes, occassionaly run-on sentences.

As you’ve probably gathered, I absolutely adore learning and am forever deepening my craft. I’m currently working out my on-camera muscles at MN Acting Studio and Kimball Studio, as well as my advanced improv skills at UCB. Despite my type-A personality, I promise you’ll find me a lot bubblier and more easily pleased than one might expect :-)
